What Is A Hacker

The image on your left was what I found last night on our forum and our main website. It's not the first time some inbreed has hacked us over the years. It will not be the last, I suppose. I felt compelled to get it off my chest today, and that I will.
Just a bit about us though.
We ( forum and website ) had joined the Swish community (less expensive form of Flash MX ) back in 1999 / 2000 cira.
Over those years our team has given away millions of free templates, FX effects, free hosting and a place for them to feel as part of a community.
I can't explain the amount of people who go out of their way to Screw Us.

I find it amazing how many mommy nipple suckers are out there with no life and feeling like a person that is whole by invading upon other people on the internet.
This is the main reason why I, personally have stopped helping people and passed the sites over to my partner Rosie. She has been pretty upset over the way of life that exists on the web.

Where I come from, and that is Bensonhurst, Brooklyn New York, little purse snatching weasels would be given a daily beating for these actions. The same would go for these little ( I love my mommy when she kisses me ) hackers. The hackers are the purse snatching thieves of the internet. Knocking down little old ladies, because they offer no threat to fight back ( well most of them anyway ). They are the ones who steal the software, the songs, the products, all because their little thimble brains makes them think that they are big and bad.

Look at me, I can invade a strangers privacy, but I am to afraid to go out into public, because the big bad world will devour me.

So here I am with a hacked website that I depend upon to bring me some nickels and dimes to put food on my table, by someone, who has probably done nothing but take and take our free stuff. Not enough stuff, so WTF, hack them. Steal what you can't get for free. My mommy puts me in the closet when I am bad, but she will never know the rampage I create on the internet. She will never understand whole smart and slick I am.

It's so sad that these inbreed weasels really think like that, when in truth the world now knows about you. You spread yourselves across the web and we all see you for what you are.

So, in closing I would like to offer anyone of you who seems to have it out for the folks that surf the web. If you could let go of your mommies nipple long enough, any time you want, one on one you and me.

Absolutely- you guys are great- the software is great- Thank you- I have always said if these assholes would just use the talents for some good instead of wrecking stuff- but anyway- in the end it makes us all stronger-

Greetings.
I was sorry to read that you were hacked. I have been receiving your emails for a very long time and while I haven't used swish in a long time I certaiinly have appreciated knowing that you are out there as a resource.

Again, my sincerest condolences. In the rush of life we often forget to thank each other, late as it may be...thanks so much for sharing your knowlege and skills.

It is my sincere hope that you will not empower the hacker-loser even further by becoming discouraged and hardened.

Ultimately, we do good, not for the thanks we receive, but because it is the right thing to do.

Best wishes for much success in all your endeavors.

I am very sorry for your recent hack. You truely have given and given to the web community. I have never used any of the offerings from your site but have been a fairly long time subscriber (4 years I think).

If there was a way to find hackers and do exactly as you desire, I think there would be a long line of persons wanting to do the same. Some day there will be a way to find the weenies. They deserve so much worse than a slap on the wrist. They destroy parts of lives and livelihoods, taking food from the mouths of our children.

Thanks for what you have given the web community...

While I am sorry you were hacked, I do feel a little weird about these lines:

"I can count on my fingers and toes, how many people went out of their way to say Thank You.
Compared to the amount of people who went out of their way to Screw Us."

It might be better to aim your anger at the hackers.

My Thank You is to ask you to please remove me from your mailing list which I'll go do via the link on the email now.

I can definitely feel you pain as an owner of a website that also puts the bread and butter on our tables, the hackers have hit me five times in the last ten years, all because they can, not that it helps them, simply practice I suppose. As long as we have over active teens, that sit on their a-- all day at a computer playing games, or whatever, who will eventually get tired of killing 3D images, we will have hackers. The world has certainly changed with the discovery of the Internet.

I agree with your sentiments, Rosie.

It's always easy to be big and bad - when you are anonymous and none knows where you live!

Cheers!

Thank You all for stopping by and showing your support.

We try to offer as much as we can, and we do appreciate when kindness is shown back.

Just a quick comment to:

Compared to the amount of people who went out of their way to Screw Us."

You feel weird? How do you think I feel, when I bust my ass trying to create things for free to help others learn. Yes, I can count, and more damage has been sent to us than thanks. Just like your crap attitude. You feel weird, is it weird or ashamed?

First, let me say, "Thanks." Many of us certainly do appreciate your site and your contributions. Personally, I always check out your templates when I receive your e-mails; I haven't mastered SWiSH yet, and your offerings give me a better idea of the tool's potential.

Next, let me add that I'd never thought to say "thank you" because I have always thought of your operation as a commercial venture. Seldom do we consider the commitments and sacrifices of honest vendors trying to attract business and make a modest living without ripping customers off in the process.

Now, it seems, I've a whole list of folks I should go back and thank.

Your posting here (and the invitational e-mail) lack substantive details of the nature of the "hack." I've run sites that were hacked and it took me days to even get coherent again, so this isn't intended as any criticism of you. Were products stolen, or was your site simply defaced? What about personal information about customers (like credit card numbers)? I assume not, but you haven't said.

Did you experience significant losses in terms of anticipated business? How difficult will remediation and recovery steps be? Were you able to detect and halt progressive attacks?

Certainly, I don't expect a detailed response. Some of this is indeed none of my business. I only bring the issues up to support my next statement: I imagine that, in retrospect, you'll see things certainly could have been worse.

I'm writing today from my home in San Diego and a significant percentage of the county is currently on fire. We've seen lots of smoke and ash, but no flames. For us, too, things could be worse.

Finally, with regard to your position on 911 Truth: you are not alone. Take heart--eventually--Truth will out and history will judge the criminals harshly. In essence, we all agree 911 was a conspiracy and the only substantive question is, whose conspiracy theory is most credible?

Sadly, it may be generations before the full facts are known.

Running three servers of mine own, I can idetify with the fristration of a hacker. They are about as usefulness as a misquito and twice as annoying.

I have occassionally used your services both free and paid. You're right, we forget to say "thanks." Our mothers taught us better.

So, "Thank you" - keep up the good work.

Let me say I don't expect Thanks, but I don't expect to get attack either.
But, since we sent out the newsletter we got hacked once again, so it worked out well.
We will now be able to track down from a time and visit list who the hack came from.
Then we'll deal with it.

Its a crime and will always be crime to invade the privacy of others. People who do these things are nothing more than scum and need to be dealt with. I have used your services in the past and they have helpt me quite a lot. I hope that these things do not discourage you guys to carry on. I have a foundation to help people in the third world and have had many problems with this kind of people myself, but i would like to say that anything negative that happens i turn into positive thinking which gives me even more strength to work harder and not let me be put down. I hope you guys can do the same. Im sure that there still are more good people than bad so carry on we are all behind you.

we always lose $, people steal from us all the time, nickels and dimes. I guess it makes them feel good.
Yes we lost again during this hack.
How much, not much, enough for milk, bread etc.
Our site is a free site, we add a few affiliate options to help pay for our presence. For the time we put in and the amount of $ we get - we are still are a free site.

Just in finding resources along we spend 15 - 20 hours a week. No one pays for that, we create free templates, we try to include free web tools on our site and we have to try and up to date on the concepts of web design to help pass along.
So, if you look at what we sell and what we give, again we are a free site.

I have to just throw out that I am totally sorry if you guys haven't felt appreciated. I have been using the forums since I think 2001. I have always thanked you, but thanks so often are just meaningless words when they are scribbled in html on a forum.
Since becoming part of the swish community, I have made a relatively good living doing web design locally. Much (if not most) of the work I have created has been based on things I have learned in the forums. When I have been stuck trying to re create the wheel, you guys have always bailed me out.
I have always wondered why you guys do what you do. I barely have time to breathe between the job, my church, my band, my wife, my kids and so on. And it astounds me that you provide most of what you do for free.
You guys know me and where I am and how to get in touch with me Let me know what I can do to help, my business, my resources and my Linux boxes are at your disposal.
I just can’t tolerate punks.

sorry to hear that. You guys are doing a great job, but remember, the world is what it is and getting worse, unfortunately. Do not let the action of a loser bother you too much, keep on smiling and continue to be a winner. Jesus loves you! (and He He loves the hacker too)

Let me add my voice, as another person who gets your emails, to the chorus of support.

Spineless bullies roam the web because we'd peel them like grapes if they showed up in real life.

Thank you for your work.

This is why I don't run my own server. Someone tried to hack my site a while ago, and my server administrator literately pulled the plug. Then disabled a few things on my website to keep them from hacking. I lost use of my blog for the day (I have since moved to blogger) but it was better than losing personal info.

I don't like any type of thief, even if it was only for a few bucks. I personally think they should get their fingers chopped off, but there's this "cruel and unusual punishment" clause in the constitution.

hey guys,

first of all, I want to add my support and appreciation for all that you have done for so many of us and we truly are in your debt for our own successes built on your support. please don't let these losers keep you down, or dishearten you. Tab said it best and if there is anything you think of that we can do to help, please ask.. i'm sure you'll see that there are many of us out here that can mobilize for 'good' causes.

next, i want to add to sentiments of hackers as 'nipple suckers!' my own blog was hacked and what i found there was this beautiful picture of a little baby dressed in white with bright blue eyes.. :) heh.. as i was pretty pissed off at the fact that i was hacked, your rant made me laugh at the thought that THEY ARE LITTLE NiPPLe SUCKING BABIES!! :) (i guess trying to find humor is my defense against completely losing my mind!)

you rock!!

I am a subscriber. Although I never used any of the stuff offered, I GREATLY appreciate it, as it offers me an insight into what is possible. And I am greatly thankful for the excellent job you do. And you are abaolutely right. People are more likely to complain if something ges wrong, than to say thank you or anaything else positive when they are satisfied- That is because people expect things to work and asume it's somebody elses fault if they don't.

But that is one thing. Sadly, but not the worst part. The really bad part is when a site gets hacked. Most of the time feven for no reason at all. not even because the hacker intends to use whatever he steals, but just because he "CAN".

Thing is ... we can all do bad things, we can all do harm if we wanted to, but most of us don't. Because they don't get off on doing it and because they don't
want / intend to harm others.

Those who do feel the urge and actually do: I feel sorry for them. If you believe in it or not: in the greater scheme of things it'll add to your karma and a bad karma will backfire someday when you least expect it. Some way or the other.

For you, Rozie: don't let it discourage you. You are doing good work, you are helping people and if they say it or not: they ARE thankful and appreciative.

Hang in there and we love what you do.

Welcome To The News Maze

I opened this blog...
so I could get off my chest shit that racks my nerves in the news. Between the media, the politicians, local sports, and public servant bullshit issues.

We have been handed nothing but lies about the war, September 11th 2001, Katrina, the oil take over, the cell phone radiation, and the heroin deals this government has made over the past administration's takeover.

The body count has been astronomical, and the attention it gets is always in bits and pieces. Some focus on the war, some 9-11, some on the victims of Katrina and some on the edges of the reality that we are getting screwed big time.

Here we will focus on it all! No free rides and no hidden agendas. We want answers, we'll ask for them, we'll share them and we'll plead for them as well.

September 11th 2001 I think is a good place for me to start. So many people had died, and so many questions had risen from the flesh infested dust, yet we let it pass without as much as a legal commitment. Justice was blinded by headlines of anthrax, Eron, the Church and it's sex scandals and anything else the people were willing to let blind them.

Normally, here in New York, we take pride in how we approach a crime scene. We look at details and we piece together what could be the cause of the crime. But this crime, had no crime scene, no investigation, no evidence turned over to the DA's office. What we got was full line of bullshit, that people wanted to believe, for people to keep the faith, while all along, being lied to. Sometimes, a lie, can be swallowed and digested just so it will pass through us.

First with all crimes, we have to look at who had the means, the motive and the opportunity. Within that frame work most crime investigations are conducted. We never had that chance, that chance was taken away from us before September 11, 2001. Now, in 2007, the crime scene still sits with human ash and more people paying the price because of this ash. A crime that has been killing for over seven years, and yet we still have no investigation? What we have is a war, deflecting our deepest desire to ask a simple question. What really happened on September 11th 2001?
